For you who support the minimum wage, and more than likely you do so because it sounds good, here is some history for you from two of the greatest economic minds of our time. Williams and Sowell have forgotten more than most of us will learn in a lifetime. Take note of Sowell talking about southern blacks moving up north in the late 20s getting construction jobs. What did the labor unions do? Succeeded in getting minimum wage laws enacted to price the black laborers out of the market. All through history, minimum wage laws have been used here and abroad to prevent black laborers from entering the labor force. That is just a fact. I could listen to these brilliant men all day....and sometimes do....
