For you younger folks out there….. When you get behind me driving 40 mph in a 45 zone, don’t blow your horn at me or salute me as you pass. We will both arrive at the next stop sign within a couple of seconds of each other and the odds of my arriving in one piece as opposed to you are pretty good. - I don’t get on the interstate much anymore and when I do don’t expect me to drive over 60 mph as I quit driving 80 many years ago and I’m doing my best to average it out. Also, I know you don’t believe it yet at your tender age but reaction time slows considerable as you age and you really wouldn’t want to put your life in my hands at 80 mph so back off for a couple of seconds and pass me when it is safe. Believe it or not someday you will be the guy getting saluted when you drive. - And lastly, my patience hasn’t slowed as much so if you start blowing you horn and such at me, my response might be to slow down some more to be extra safe. That is the point that I would like to have a blood pressure device on your arm to see how close to a heart attack I can get you before you finally get past me. - Drive safely now and have a great day.
