Foraging success! Went for a walk and guess what I found? Wild blackberries! It became a nostalgic moment once I started collecting blackberries. Grandma (Rodriguez) would give us kids a pail to go and pick blackberries. Those who are not familiar with blackberries, there are thorns that mean business! Similar to rose bushes but hook-ish. They hurt! We knew that there would be a delicious blackberry cobbler soon. This made the stings that comes with blackberry picking all worth it. Now, time to ask my family if anyone knows the recipe to Grandmas Blackberry Cobbler! Margo Rodriguez Williamson, Carol Rodriguez, Barbara Ann Mendoza Mead, hopefully someone knows this. Of course my friends joined me on this walk.
