Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? (2 Corinthians 3:3-8 KJV) Paul reinforced to the Corinthian believers that they where able ministers of the New Testament. Not because of their own specific ability they posses, but because they posses the Spirit of God. He also reinforced that law does nothing to enable use to live but even called it the ministration of death and the letter killeth. Why is that you may say? Law will never help it will always condemn! Jesus came to give life and life more abundantly (John 10:10). The problem we sometimes have is we try to get life from the law and you will never live by law only by the life of Christ. We live law "FREE," in the NT not "lawless,". Does God want us to obey in our Christian life? Yes! But obedience is not the issue the means to obey is the purpose in life being brought through Jesus. So pick your head up child of God!! You are an able minister because of the Spirit and you can trust Him.
