Forecast Bulletin - Mauritius WEATHER NEWS FOR MAURITIUS ISSUED AT 11H25 THIS SATURDAY 15 MARCH 2014. GENERAL SITUATION: I) The airmass remains moist and unstable over our region. II) Active clouds associated with an unstability zone are evolving in the vicinity of Mauritius. FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Partly cloudy to cloudy at times this afternoon, with showers. The showers will be moderate to heavy at times accompanied with isolated thunderstorms. There will be foggy patches over the high-grounds and water accumulations in certain regions. The maximum temperature will be between 23 and 26 degrees celsius over the central plateau and between 28 and 33 degrees celsius along the coastal regions. The rainy weather will persist at night. The showers will be more frequent and moderate to heavy at times accompanied with thuderstorms. The minimum temperature will be between 20 and 22 degrees celsius over the high grounds and between 23 and 25 degrees celsius elsewhere. Tomorrow morning the showers will still be present. The wind will blow from the east 20 to 30 km/h with gusts of 60 km/h. The sea will become gradually rough beyond the reefs. The public is advised not to venture in the open sea.
