Weather Situation A high centred near New Zealand currently extends a ridge back over New South Wales, while a deep low pressure system remains centred well south of Western Australia, directing a mild north to northwesterly flow over Tasmania. This pattern will persist until Monday morning, with an embedded cold front to cross Tasmania Sunday night. A high will then become established over northern Bass Strait on Monday, moving to the southeast on Tuesday as another cold front moves just west of the Bight.
