Forecast for Friday July 5th, 2013 - Southeastern PA / Philadelphia Area High pressure over the eastern sea board will begin to dominate the weather Friday into the weekend. The upper level trough that has been affecting areas east of the Midwest will begin to break down on Friday. Winds will continue to be out the south to southwest transporting warm and moist air into the region. Morning temperatures on Friday will be mild in the low to mid 70s. In the afternoon, a few showers and thunderstorms are possible as high temperatures will create instability over the area. Temperatures in the afternoon will rise up into the upper 80s to low 90s. Some areas may observe locally higher temperatures. Future Forecast: Ninety degree weather will continue into the weekend with some areas possibly reaching the upper 90s. A chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue into the weekend but the best chance for showers will be on Monday. Enjoy your Friday -Jeremy
