Weather Situation A strengthening high over the Bight currently extends a ridge over Tasmania, while a small low over the north of the state is expected to move over Bass Strait tonight. The ridge will then move over Bass Strait tomorrow with a second high then expected to form just east of Tasmania Saturday night. The eastern high will then strengthen on Sunday while the western high weakens as a trough approaches the Bight, expected just west of Tasmania Monday night then moving over the state later on Tuesday.
