Forecast for Thursday July 4th, 2013 - Southeastern PA / Philadelphia Area The weather pattern that has been affecting the region will begin to break down as the upper level low slowly closes off. A high pressure system will continue to be over the eastern seaboard creating a southerly to southwesterly flow. Instability created by the continued presence of the upper level trough over the mid-west and humid conditions will lead to a chance of scattered showers on Thursday. In the morning on Thursday, temperatures will be mild in the low to mid 70s. During the afternoon periods, hot and humid air over the region will lead to a chance of isolated thunderstorms.
