Forecast for Tuesday 14th October 14 Risk of Severe Weather: Low, Locally Moderate. Significant Weather: Heavy Rain. Winds: W or SW moderate in the far S, otherwise E or NE’ly light or moderate, though remaining fresh across N England and locally strong this morning. Summary: Mostly cloudy conditions are forecast to prevail across a large portion of England and Wales through Tuesday. Outbreaks of rain this morning are expected across Wales, the Midlands, S England and also across N England where some heavy rainfall is possible, especially across parts of Yorkshire. As the day progresses the rain will become increasingly light and patchy, but mostly cloudy conditions will continue. Across Scotland and Ireland another fine day is expected after a chilly start with frost in places and some localised mist and fog patches. Bright or sunny spells are expected at times through the day especially across northern and western Scotland and across more northern and western areas of Ireland too. Temperatures ranging between 9°C and 13°C across Scotland, Ireland and N England and it will remain distinctly chilly across N England in particular given the continued NE’ly wind and mostly cloudy and damp conditions. Across Wales, the Midlands and S England temperatures will range between 12°C and 16°C with the highest temperatures expected across parts of E Anglia and SE England. Have a great day.
