Foreign Military Has Technology To Rescue Missing Girls – Bala–Usman The former president, National Council of Women Society, Ramatu Bala-Usman, has commended the efforts of the international community on the rescue mission of the over 200 schoolgirls abducted by members of a terrorist group, Boko Haram. She said that the soldiers from the international communities were well equipped and had the adequate technology that could be used in search of the missing girls. Speaking on Channels Television’s breakfast programme, Sunrise Daily, the former president stated that various women group were in touch with the parents of the abducted girls, to know how they were faring mentally and psychologically. She criticised security operatives who gave public updates on steps that were used in search of the girls, describing it as dangerous to the nation and capable of giving room for the insurgency to attack the country. “Security issues are private matters and we are supposed to only know the end result. Security agencies in Chibok should speak to the parents of the girl and not come to the public,” she said. Right To Religion She commented on the video released on Monday by the Boko Haram sect, saying that Islamising the Christians amongst the girls was wrong. “Every Nigerian has the right to practice his of her religion”. Commenting on the recitation of the Quran by the girls, she questioned the fluency within days, saying, however, that the fluency achieved in ssuch a short period of time could be because the girls realise their lives were in danger.
