Foreigners here in Thailand love to complain about the bureaucracy and confusing rules. Unfortunately, bumbling bureaucracy seems to be a universal truth. The school board here needs a copy of my diploma so I can move forward to get a teaching license and stay employed. As I graduated from college back in 77, I have managed to lose my diploma over the years. I asked UC Davis to print me a new one and send it to my brother in Alameda so he can email a copy of it to me. I dont have much faith in Thai mail. The other day, my brother received a new diploma from my school....with his name on it. Jon graduated from Berkeley 6 years before, never studied at Davis and certainly never majored in science. He is contacting my school to straighten things out. I would be in much trouble here if I didnt get the help of my brother.
