Would the UK show scene be better with more opportunities for young people to earn a crust (or a Warburtons truck full of loaves) as professional handlers. Mmmm... no A system where professional handlers becomes the norm drives out the small scale owner/exhibitor. Gossip Hound accepts that every owner has the right to employ someone who can get the most from their dog but do we want the UK show utterly dominated by rich owners employing well known professional handlers? If we think facey judging is an issue now Gossip Hound suggests it aint nothing compared to those countries where professional handlers rule the ring.
