Forget Magic Hour... Im officially naming this Pale Hour and I never want to take pictures at any other time. Friggin BEAUTIFUL. Those washed out colors? That rim light? Holy poop. Im freaking out. This short film was shot after midnight at between 12,800 and 32,000 ISO—for non-photographers, that basically means that theyve turned the sensor up REALLY high so it picks up more light. Usually that means that there is also a lot more noise, which are random colored speckles that degrade the image and make it look bad. Having recently taken some images at 4000 ISO on my 5D Mark III and been perfectly happy with them, I really want to go out and play at higher ISOs. Anyone up for a post-midnight shoot this week? :)
