Forget all previous posts about Ryanair, they were actually very good. Booked online, no problem, printed boarding passes 15 days in advance, no problem. They text me two days running, prior to flight to remind me of the dos and donts, and thats a first for any airline Ive flown with. Ryanair staff at the airport were friendly and helpful. Went to check the size of the carry on bag in the container the check in person said dont worry that will be fine. We were allowed two carry on items not just one, I saw one woman get on with what can only be described as a full size suitcase and she wasnt stopped. Got on plane under priority boarding even though we hadnt paid for it? Mind you I think it was because I had joined the wrong lane by mistake. We had pre booked seats at the front 6 a 6 b only to find two youngsters about 16 17 years old sitting in our seats who promptly moved for us but then hovered about until they both found that the isle seats were available and they sat there. On talking to them I found that they were in fact in their late 20 s and were Ryanair pilots. I had this overwhelming feeling come over me as we went shooting down the runway at 200miles per hour Ryanair planes are either so remarkable that they take off by themselves because the pilot was actually sitting next to me or so bad that they have to carry 4 pilots on case the first 2decide to take industrial action. On landing at Dublin we had a trumpet fanfare over the tannoy announcing that another Ryanair flight had landed on time. In fact it was 5 minuets early. When the plane sopped the pilot I was sitting next to opened the overhead locker and handed me my case. Now you tell me if you have ever been on a flight that good!!!
