Forgive AND Forget! I know you have heard someone say, I forgive them but I will never forget it. My friends, that person has not really forgiven. True forgiveness chooses to forget! But Pastor, you dont know what they did to me, and it was not you that they did it to. It doesnt matter what it was, God not only expects you to forgive, but to forget. I was in a courtroom to witness an example of forgiveness that brought tears to my eyes. One of our members son was involved in a shooting and had been found guilty. The options were life or death. The father of the slain boy pleaded for the life of the guilty young man and said I have forgiven him. Please dont take his life. Wow! If you could have heard him begging for that boys life! Only God can help you to forgive and help you to forget it. Forgiveness should be so complete that you can sit next to them in church, and forget the situation. When you can treat them the same as before the offense, you have arrived and have truly forgiven. Thats what God did for us. He said, I will remember your sins no more! Wow! Lets walk like our Father in love and forgiveness. I am believing God that supetnaturally marriages will be healed, family members are back together in fellowship, and friendships have been restored in Jesus name. Pastor Thedford
