Forklift driver dies in wreck Posted: August 5, 2013 - 11:24am By RUSSELL ANGLIN russell.anglin@amarillo An Amarillo man died after a Monday morning wreck involving a forklift and a pickup, Amarillo police said. At 7:23 a.m., police responded to a call in the 4600 block of Bushland Boulevard, where they found a 2004 Nissan Forklift that Walter Orville Faux, 50, was using to load roofing materials from a tractor-trailer, authorities said. Faux was crossing Bushland Boulevard, heading north in front of the parked tractor, and the forks of the forklift struck a 1992 Ford F-350 driven by Johnny Villegas, 19, of Amarillo, authorities said. The forklift tipped over and Faux was injured, police said. Faux was transported to a hospital, where he died as a result of the injuries he suffered in the wreck, police said. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
