Form comes before weight every time. Here is my client who I have been training for over a year. When I first met him, he never set foot in a gym before and had no clue what he was getting himself into. We started out basic teaching him simple movements, form and coordination which was extremely important before we started any kind of weight lifting. In the last few months it was finally time to progress to free weight squatting and dead lifting. I am so proud of him and his first milestone as a weight lifter hitting that 1 plate (135lbs) for a 5x5. Slow and steady progress is key. PRs happen in time but they only feel fully accomplished when they are done with great form and not half repd This is only the beginning my man!! So proud of you! I am always taking on new clients so if you are hitting that wall, plateaued or cant seem to lose weight no matter how hard you try.
