Form of DISCRIMINATION: A BAD EXPERIENCE! A certain Filipina Doctor came in and asked about the chocolates and what make us different from the international competitors. As a MassCom (Media Practitioner) and Advertising major as I was where Sales/Marketing and Public Relations are my forte, I used some strategies that are persuasive so as not to let every inter racial customer walks out the store empty-handed. To make the story short, the Doctor bought a box of our SPECIALS. She asked then our Filipino Salesman about the Macaroons de Paris. So, Romeo handed her down TWO (2) pieces of different flavors for taste then left since she was in hurry as she headed to the hospital (obviously her workplace). Without doubt, someone confronted and scolded the Salesman about the giving of 2 small pieces for taste. Again, the issue was the FREE TASTE. That someone was making it again a BIG DEAL and worst he insisted that Romeo gave away 3 pieces. I managed myself and kept my cool instead while listening. I just noticed that when it comes to other Nationalities, that someone gives almost everything for taste. Pero pag FILIPINO Customers, the so called FREE TASTE is absolutely a big deal for him. _ _, why are you like that? Is it because you think all Filipinos are poor and that we cannot afford expensive chocolates? You insulted us many times already and you keep doin it over and over again. Yet, we remained silent. Thank you for giving us these bad experiences. For me, you are one of the major reasons why Im not coming back. BTW, dont forget that the word of mouth is powerful. One single mistake in handling customer will definitely go viral.. Honestly, I hate you but I am a very civilized person so I must stay civil in all ways.
