Former Chelsea and current Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben is a transfer priority for Louis van Gaal when he becomes Manchester United manager, reports the Guardian. The Dutchman has sent a wish list of signings to the Red Devils chief executive Ed Woodward and his fellow countryman features prominently. Van Gaal knows Robben well having managed the 30-year-old in the national team since 2012 and was also the man who brought the attacking midfielder to Bayern from Real Madrid back in 2009 for £22m. The boss has identified that creativity in the middle is a real issue for United currently, with the likes of Luis Nani and Ashley Young failing to impress. In Robben the 2013 Premier League champions would be able to rely upon a player who has been recognised as one of the best in the world over the last decade, winning trophies in England, Spain , Germany and his native Netherlands. The Dutch international is particularly well known to Blues fans having spent three years at Stamford Bridge between 2004 and 2007, playing 104 games and winning two league titles, two League Cups and the FA Cup. Van Gaal isn’t expected to be named the new United manager until next week, with the 62-year-old trying to concentrate on preparing his current team for the 2014 World Cup. Four years ago the Dutch just fell short of winning their first ever World Cup after being beaten by Spain 1-0 in the final and the former Ajkax, Barcelona and Bayern coach will be wanting to go one better before bowing out of international football to take the reigns at Old Trafford. maxcdn.fanatix/news/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Shinji-Kagawa-Manchester-United-Arjen-Robben-Bayern-Munich.jpg
