Former Detroit City Council At-Large Candidate David Bullock finished in 3rd place with 39,032 at 17% of the vote in the 2013 City of Detroit General Election Cycle and has a great opportunity to fill the vacancy of Councilwoman Saunteel Jenkins (i) who finished 2nd place with 76,990 at 34% and Council President Brenda Jones who finished in 1st place at 34% in the At-Large seat. Sec. 3-105. City Elections and City Council Initiated Ballot Proposals. If a vacancy occurs on City Council it shall be filled by appointment, based on a two-thirds (2/3) vote of members. The person appointed shall serve until an elected member takes office.
