Former England manager Sven- Goran Eriksson will not have to worry about paying the gas bill for a while. The 66-year-old has been unveiled as the new coach of Shanghai East Asia on a rumoured £3.8m-a-year contract that puts him among the top earners in football management. The Swede was unveiled at the Chinese Super League club today, following his exit from fellow top- flight outfit Guangzhou R&F last week. I am very happy and very proud that it is finally official, Eriksson said. Shanghai East Asia plan to spend around £50m on developing their side next season, according to reports in China.
