Former Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic has described his move to Inter Milan as a “step forward”.The 32-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Serie A club after eight seasons at Old Trafford.Inter finished fifth in Serie A last season and will compete in the Europa League this term.Vidic said: “I have joined one of the big European clubs. I don’t think this is a step backwards in my career, I believe this is a step forward for me.” The Serb defender enjoyed a trophy-laden eight-year spell at Old Trafford, winning five Premier League titles, one Champions League trophy, three League Cups and a Club World Cup.He added: “Even if I had stayed at United I would not have played in the Champions League.”Inter are one of the top clubs in the world, with a great history and tradition.
