Former National Youth Organizer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfeh Jnr., has warned government functionaries not to compare the late President John Evans Atta Mills to Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah. Judging from the leadership role of the late President Mills, James Kwabena Bomfeh, popularly known as ‘Kabila’, said during a panel discussion programme on Oman FM’s National Agenda programme that the late President could not in any way wear the shoes of the late Dr. Nkrumah. According to him, it is pure “blasphemy” on the part of the members of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to hail the late President Mills as a ‘Saint’ and deem it fit to equate his leadership to that of the great Osagyefuo. “It is blasphemous to tag President Mills as a Saint. The second blasphemy is to attempt equating President Mills to President Nkrumah. Nowhere can you compare (Mills to Nkrumah),” Kabila pontificated. The one-time Parliamentary aspirant also called for an inquest into the death of the late President, claiming that he died under mysterious circumstances. “President Mills is not a family matter. It’s a national matter…My suspicion is that Professor Mills did not die a natural death,”
