Former President Thabo Mbeki has finally broken his silence on Nkandla findings. This follows the release of the Public Protectors report last week.Thabo Mbeki threw his weight behind the Presidencys statement released after Thuli Madonselas media briefing. On the statement the Presidency stated that President Zuma needed time to study the report by the Public Protector.I think it was an important statement made by President Zumas office, which said that he would study the report and obviously reflect on what he sees and then he would take the necessary action out of that.said Thabo MbekiFrom what Ive seen in the media, the report reflects on many elements of our government functions and, as indeed the Public Protector said, there is also hope to ensure that the things that went wrong dont happen again,” he said.According to Mbeki, there is no need to rush especially since the report found that Zuma did not deceive the parliament.
