Former student makes my day in a private message: I graduated - TopicsExpress

Former student makes my day in a private message: I graduated from Waynesboro High School in 2005. As a student I have had you as a substitute teacher more than a dozen times. I am aware that in your line of work students come and students go and perhaps there are not enough opportunities, nor the time, to learn each pupil individually; it is understandable. Nonetheless, I wanted to thank you for a punishment that you adjudicated on my behalf when I was merely a freshman. I partly jest, however, the assignment you ascribed was perhaps the catalyst to which I may credit my initial fascination with etymologies and the overall basel crux that environs the English language. I am unable to recall the causation of my punishment, however I do remember the punishments requirements. You had instructed me to write the entire definition of the word RUN. Of course the word run is not the longest definition in the English language, however. Thank you.
