Fort Chix. Cold weather shutters will be installed above the nesting box. The top side triangle will have year round open ventilation on both sides. There is a chicken door with a pulley to give run access. There are 2 roosts that are the full width of the house. To give an additional nesting box I will use a empty cat litter bucket. I designed the nesting boxes to big slightly bigger than 12x12. I have a hen that doesnt like the smaller box. The footprint, including nest boxes is approximately 90x36, before the siding was added.
