Foster Focus We will be starting to focus on some of our shelter pets that are currently in foster care and needs homes. These pets were placed in foster for various reasons. Once they are ready we need to help them find their own family to make room for the next shelter pet that needs a little extra tender loving care. By considering adopting or rescuing one of these pets, you are actually helping three at the same time! The dog currently in foster, the shelter pet that needs to move in to their spot in the foster home, and it makes room at the shelter for one more. Todays foster focus is Kierra 2-3 year old Plott Hound mix Kierra is a family dog in every essence - Loyal and devoted. You can see it in her loving brown eyes, her purpose and job is being with her people. This brindle beauty is independent and confident trotting around the yard exploring or catching a nap outside in the sun. She rides great in the car, knows how to sit when asked and accepts waiting in the crate when needed. Kierra is house-trained when kept on a regular schedule, uses a dog door and walks nicely on a leash. Kierra has the most special, caring, gentle heart. She has been in foster with several sets of small puppies and has taken them under her wing each time to provide comfort and security as a mommy figure. Kierra will fill your days with joy and laughter and you will be the light of her life. Just call her name and Kierra will be by your side to provide comfort and love all the days of her life.
