Found Mites and other small insects inside the wooden next boxes...mainly in the gaps/shavings/cracks of box... Some are plywood and some are neem boxes.. I treated it with Anit ticks & anti mites Ecktomin and also sprayed in and around aviary and over the birds, diluted with water. Will this suffice? Its an outdoor aviary.. Im aware that this can be harmful and fatal to birds.... So need Help in this... 1. What is the long term solution to this? 2. Can we treat with wooden boxes with some safe to use chemical/paint/polish/varnish? So that Mites stay out of it.. 3. How can we prevent it happening in first place? 4.If it happens again what should be the immediate treatment?
