Found a special place yesterday during one of my morning outings with Bella. A bit off the beaten path as usual, we ventured up the trail to the Rats Nest Cave not far from town ( a self professed crowd dodger, always looking for hidden trails with no signage :) ) Anyway, we travelled up the drainage, beyond the cave, and stumbled upon a very special place. A natural stone platform beneath a small rock amphitheatre. It was almost stage like. When we crawled up the first thing I noticed were the bright red puddles-tannin deposits from the surrounding trees. Very cool when you consider that tannin actually has healing medicinal properties. Made the spot seem that much more sacred. A few pics (dont share- lets keep it our secret
