Found an interesting document with my great grandparents names and their children on it - beginning #3532 (which is right at the end). This document was tabled in Parliament in 1900 and is a list of Maori who were left landless as a result of Govt Land Confiscations - Waikato and Tauranga. Another example of how they robbed us of our economic base so they could build their empires and grow their wealth for their descendants to inherit. Seems rather odd to be put out of ones own house and left to watch others sit at our table, eating and growing fat from the food in our larder - and then to be called the greedy, lazy, good for nothing, dole bludger.
