Found in InBox A mail received from a colleague: "When in ******** Branch, we had financed two pharma-based companies manufacturing estrogen supplements. With support from us they bid in WHO funded projects and bagged several orders. The more they bagged they more we lent. Recently I read that the estrogen supplements which was being freely distributed, nay pushed, in the Bangladesh market has had environmental fallout of gigantic proportions. The orally consumed estrogen has travelled to the rivers via the urine-waste product route, and altered fishes biologically. The change is irreversible. Same is true of the numerous forging units we financed, when export orders started pouring in without realising that Western Economies had abandoned forging because of carcinogen risks, we grabbed those export orders because we the educated, the bureaucracy, the comfortable upper middle classes do not accept ownership of the destiny of poor India."
