Found this somewhere And i cant resist from sharing. Its like someone one has scanned my thoughts and written thee essence of it..!!! Take time to read and i believe it wont disappoint you.. ANNOYING THINGS IN INDIA Three things. 1) As Indians we are too judgmental. For Example. If I dont wear good and expensive clothes at someones wedding, my family will be judged by its standard. If I am doing Engineering, I am intelligent, If I am doing B.A/ B. COM I am not. If I am working for an MNC/ IT company I am successful if I am a salesman I have failed in my career. IF I am not married by 30 something is wrong with me. If you abuse in Hindi its cheap if you abuse in English its cool. If a poor guy wants to become stylish he is a wannabe if I rich guy wants to he is maintaining his standards. If a girl hangouts with just boys something is wrong with her character, if a boy hangouts with just girls he is cool. If my boss says a quote its inspiring but if my junior says it, he is showing off. If I am a college dropout I am dumb. If I am unemployed, I more dumb. If I want to be an actor I am over ambitious and a day dreamer if I want to be an an IITan I am focused . If I hug a girl I am in a relationship with her. If I dont give a tip in a restaurant I am cheap. If I walk out of a cafe just because its expensive I dont have standards. For us Indians, our judgement is our own traps created by us, used by us, used on us. 2) We have too much time to talk about people just because our EGO is too big to be satisfied. Our moms talks about her in laws with her sister and parents just because she doesnt like the way they talk/ they walk/ they wear saree Our Fathers talks about his boss because he is always wrong. Our girlfriends talks about other girls because she looks more pretty. The boyfriends talk about another guy because he like their girl. Our group of friends talks about the other group of friends because they want to be more cool. I talk about my colleagues because I am too afraid they are better than me. Siblings talks about each other and you know why, I do not even want to tell it here. 9 out of 10 times the topic of discussion is always people and only that is what makes a conversation sustainable and interesting and unfortunately two people in India become friends only when they talk about their common enemy. 3) We are independent, but we still do not have freedom. Freedom to follow my dreams. Freedom to choose a different career path which is not traditional. Freedom to go out, explore, learn and fail. The freedom to fall in love. Freedom to choose a completely different country to live and not just UK, Canada and US. Freedom to marry someone from the other caste. Freedom to change the country because I really want to because politics is apparently dirty Freedom to just be free and live a life on my own Our mindset is chained with the whole idea of society and standards which is merely adopting a pulp like a cancer, today we might not realize it but tomorrow it might kill us. The good thing is some of us have surely detected it at the right stage ;) Thank you for reading. I am sorry if you found any point irrelevant or offensive, it is just a personal opinion. :) Cheers
