Four Keys to Doing Miracles These came up in various - TopicsExpress

Four Keys to Doing Miracles These came up in various conversations with a number of my fellow GSI students. I apologize for not being able to give fuller attribution. 1. First key: Don’t get hung up on the word miracle – it is dunamis. The word often translated “miracle” is dunamis, meaning a work of power. It is just as much a work of power (miracle) to heal an irritated eye as it is to heal a blind eye. 2. Second key: Seeing what the Father is doing – John 5:19 Jesus did a miracle for one man out of many (John 5:3) at the Pool of Bethesda (John 5:8-9). What would have happened if He had prayed for the wrong man? No miracle! What would have happened if He had prayed for all of them? A plethora of failures and one miracle! 3. Third key: Boldness – Acts 4:29-30 Without the boldness to act on what the Father shows us we will not see miracles. No guts, no glory. 4. Fourth key: Impartation – Acts 4:31 and Rom 1:11 Without the power of God to back up our boldness we will not see miracles. Put your anointing where your mouth is. We get that impartation by asking God for it (Acts 4:31 among many others that Randy Clark shared with us), and by the laying on of hands (Rom 1:11 among many others). Feel free to develop this and preach it. It is your stuff anyway! For my sisters and brothers who preach from the Lectionary, the John 5 passage came up a little over a month ago and the Acts 4 passage won’t come around again for another two years.
