Four UNDER DOGS find their way HOME! Were known for taking on - TopicsExpress

Four UNDER DOGS find their way HOME! Were known for taking on the dogs deemed un-adoptable. We take on dogs from other rescues and shelters and realize were their last chance. It can weigh very heavy on our hearts. It takes round the clock training, sacrifice, sleepless nights, second guessing ourselves, and sometimes it seems no one will ever give the dog a chance. Then miracles happen. Lio (white dog): Dogo Argentino chained in a yard for the first year of life. Never knew love or affection. Came to us WILD as a beast! It took months of training and dedication. He was adopted YAY but then returned BOO for medical reasons. After surgery Lio became pretty bratty and unmanageable. So much so no one could safely handle him except for Jeremy. He spent every moment tied to him. He had to learn to be safe around humans again. After months of round the clock training, Lio was ready to join a family. It took a very special family to continue his training. No kids, constant supervision, dedication and love. Lio found it. Hes got a strict routine that keeps him on track. And very dedicated parents. PHEW! Bryant (on the couch): this little multi-poo came to us scared of men. I mean PETRIFIED. This turned into Bryant biting our doggie support person so badly he had to miss work from the pain. We couldnt place a dog in a home who would bite and hurt someone. Who would want to take the time to let Bryant warm up to them? People tend to want instant love at first site. But Bryant had an angel. Ken, our fabulous and dedicated littles volunteer was determined to help Bryant see men are loving people too. The first time they met Bryant snapped at him. Slowly, with weekly visits and a universe of patience Bryant got closer and closer to Ken. Eventually Bryant welcomed his touch, then allowed him to pick him up! Before we knew it he would yelp with glee when he heard Kens voice coming to visit! Ken decided to bring Bryant home to meet his wife and SevaDog Alumni Sebastian (who was a work in progress when adopted a year or so ago). After a few visits Sebastian and Mary Alice agreed to take Bryant in as a foster. Annnnd yesterday I got the AMAZING NEWS that Bryant fits right into their family and they all want him to stay. He will continue to get the attention he needs and will soon be a friend to all men! WOOO HOOO!!! Baby Seal: she came to us covered in burns, and razor cuts. It was heart breaking. She was so scared of people. Walking her on leash in public was a challenge as shed collapse at the first person she saw. After months of socialization, living at home with us, she became somewhat of a therapy dog for BUNNY. Who was a scared feral girl when she arrived. She taught Bunny to be a dog and love it! Which in turn gave Baby Seal the confidence she needed to be a happy dog in the world around her. No more dropping to the ground for this girl! Shes at her home check RIGHT NOW. Please cross your fingers for her. She deserves a lifetime of happiness. Dougy Boo (black dog with ball): ooooh Dougy, how you rocked our world! He came to us an angel. Shut down and depressed form lack of human affection. He just wanted to be loved. Then....we went outside and BAM he was a different dog! Screeching and pulling, drooling, going buck wild at every little piece of stimulation! Cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles, he wanted to take them all down! And it took brute strength to control him. WOW! So home he came and took MONTHS of rehabilitation and desensitization. He became a new dog. It was the most incredible transformation. But then NO ONE wanted him. We couldnt understand it. But in 8 months only one person wanted to meet him. But didnt want to take a chance. Well a couple nights ago his angels appeared! They fell in love with Dougy and love his quirks. Theyre incredibly dedicated and want to bring him home. So, home check this weekend. SEND GOOD THOUGHTS for this sweet boy. Hes over so ready for a home of his own. He deserves it and has earned it. ALL dogs deserve to be safe, loved, and living in their very own home. It takes a bit of work sometimes. But the beauty of time, is it heals all things. Including undesirable behaviors :) Its never too late to teach a dog new tricks :) Give them a chance, give them TIME, and youll find what you really have is, a true best friend who will never give up on YOU!
