Four men are behind bars and facing federal charges after they allegedly kept illegal immigrants inside horse stables at a ranch in Alton. U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested Antonio Villareal-Fong, his son Antonio Villareal, Wilmer Maldonado and Edgar Suastegui-Fuentes on Monday. Federal court records show that U.S. Border Patrol agents received a tip that a ranch off Saint Judge Street was being used as illegal immigrant stash house. Border Patrol agents put the ranch under surveillance starting on Thursday and raided it with help of Alton police on Monday. Authorities found 22 illegal immigrants from Mexico and Central America inside the ranchs horse stables and crammed into the bedroom of a home on the property.
