Four month old Trooper, a kitten with cerebella hyperplasia is looking for his forever home...we got him neutered today an dafter a little recovery time he will be ready for his forever home!!! Here is his story...... A friend of ours was helping get a colony of feral cats under control and came across a small black kitten that for some reason she thought we should have. She delivered said kitty in a Miracle Grow bucket. I said I would help to get him ready for adoption but that I was not going to keep him as we already have 10 feral cats that we have taken on. After two days I knew the kitten wasn’t “right” and after some research and a visit to the vet we diagnosed the cerebella hyperplasia. We have come to call the kitten Trooper because we kept saying “He is just such a little trooper”. He runs and plays and falls over…and gets up again and away he goes. He uses his litter box. He eats well and likes his treats. He plays with his toys and loves to snoop around outside when we let him. He is doing very well with his walking and has learned to spread his back legs further for support and his tail works as a counter-balance. We have also seen him balancing himself against the side of the litter box so he doesn’t fall. My husband and I have both grown to love Trooper very much but our farm home is not suitable for him. We have tile floors and Trooper slips and slides on them. He really needs more carpeting where he can get some traction. He should not be left outside without supervision which is difficult in a home where animals come and go as they please. If you think you have a home that would suit our little Trooper. please go to victoriahumanesociety and fill out an application!!
