Four more 5 Star Reviews from Tripadvisor! “Superb get away from DC” My wife and I headed south out of Alexandria, VA where we live to celebrate her 40th birthday. Belle Grove is in a quaint area off of highway 301 and easily accessible (dont take I-95) if youre coming from DC area. Brett and Michelle were wonderful hosts with their tour of the property, restaurant suggestions for us, and of course a delightful breakfast the next day. We will plan to go back sometime and enjoy a longer weekend away from the business of the DC area! Guests Alexandria, VA “An Historical Wonder - B&B at its best” Its rare to get the opportunity to inhabit -if just briefly - a house steeped in American history. Most are so tightly controlled that the best you can hope for is a short, erudite tour. Not so Belle Grove. The Darnells while preserving fine details have also made this place accessible to their guests. Its beautiful. Its comfortable. Its the birthplace of one of our Founding Fathers. Go! You will enjoy. R Los Angeles, CA “A Memorable Stay in a Special Place” Belle Grove Plantation B&B is a beautifully restored property that exceeded our expectations. The care & passion of Michelle & Brett made our stay in what was once the home of our Conway ancestors an exceptional experience. The selection of furnishings and appointments reflects pride and dedication to preservation of the plantations history. We were honored to have the Madison Suite and enjoyed learning more about him. Relatives enjoyed the Conway Suite and especially appreciated Michelles surprise of acquiring a portrait of Great-Aunt Nelly, which was just one of many thoughtful acts on her part. The breakfasts were awesome, the bed & bath great, and relaxing on the terrace overlooking the river was a treat. It was a wonderful visit. D & J Tucson, AZ “Romantic getaway for two” I celebrated my 20th wedding anniversary recently and was looking for a nice place to get away and relax. The Belle Grove Plantation Bed and Breakfast was a perfect location to visit and the accommodations and cuisine was fabulous. The B & B is operated by a wonderful couple and Michelle is a marvelous cook. Next time you are in the Fredericksburg area, I highly recommend you take the time to stay at the birthplace of President James Madison and experience some true southern hospitality.
