Four-year-old Avy loves big words. She is a petite little thing and she has a tiny cartoonish-sounding voice, but she speaks like she is four, going on twelve. The other day she asked, “Can I please have those crackers that are shaped like a hexagon?” (Pretty sure I had never heard of the word “hexagon” at age four!) Later that day when I was explaining how cartoon-movies are made, she burst out with, “How FANTASTIC! This is UNBELIEVABLE!” (Did I mention she’s also super-enthusiastic about everything?) And then today when she couldn’t find something she was looking for, she put her hands on her little hips and declared, “I distinctly remember putting it here!”
