Four years Olivia first experienced the miracle of sound, thanks to her cochlear implant, which was activated on August 23, 2010 when she was just 13 months old. The first year of her life was spent in near total silence due to profound deafness, and then all of a sudden, in her audiologists office at TCH, she first heard her mommys and daddys voices...and she loved it!! Were so grateful to have been able to give her this gift...having that surgery was one of the best decisions weve ever made on her behalf. And all these years later, I never get tired of watching the video from that day!
