Four years straight, I sat with my son at chemotherapy, spring, summer, fall and winter. There were no spring breaks when others were enjoying their spring break, no fun in the sun or outside playing like a child should in the summer, no watching the leaves fall off the trees or even change colors during fall, there were no winter days to say it was to cold for chemotherapy. I have seen games on fb for breast cancer and everyone plays, I have seen the cold water challenge which is the new trend of fb and everyone is taking a part in and sharing; CHILDHOOD CANCER will not get shared or talked about because its not funny or a game. Answer this question, Why is it so HARD for people to support KIDS with CANCER? Why, because they do not know the FACTS behind KIDS with CANCER! 49 KIDS a DAY are DIAGNOSED with CANCER, 9 OF THE 49 DIE EVERYDAY, 11 of the 49 are BRAIN CANCE, those who survive have other health issues as they mature blindness, organ failure, motor skills, mental and physical problems. Cancer does not just affect the child, Cancer affects the Siblings, Parent(s), and anyone who is close to the child!
