Fourteen Bald Mountain Mine workers have been safely rescued after being trapped overnight by a rock slide. Barrick Gold spokesman Lou Schack said the men became stranded when a wall failed along the road leading into the pit just after 4 p-m Sunday. It was a long, wet night for the men, as Schack described, but thankfully, there were no injuries. The workers were airlifted, via helicopter, from the pit as inclement weather allowed around 12:15 p-m Monday.
