Fox News showed several videos last night of Obama from several years ago commenting to groups that he cannot just issue an executive order on immigration and that a president does not have the authority to write that kind of legislation. If he was so interested in it, he had 2 years of full control of the House and Senate that he could have passed a bill on it, but he didnt. The Democrats know that this is not what the majority of Americans want. But because Obama now has nothing to lose, he is threatening to pick up his pen and write his own laws on it. It IS an impeachable offense, but Republicans are leery of taking that route so soon after the elections, which is probably why Obama is threatening to do it now. The Republicans have not been against new legislation for immigration, but they want what the people want, a secure border first. Back when Reagan was president, the Democrats promised to secure the border if he granted citizenship to illegals, which he did, but the border was never secured. There is absolutely no reason a wall cant be built, other than Obama is wanting as many illegals to enter this country as possible. He knows that millions more will flock here if he gives 5 million amnesty. And how is he going to pick and choose who gets it, because we have far more than 5 million here right now. It is expected that over 20 million more will come here right after he puts the law on the books. It is just another way to make our economy tank, and that is exactly what he is after.
