Fox & Weeks is privileged to serve the family and loved ones of Ruth Foy Fender, 78, who died on January 20 in Savannah. A native and lifelong resident of Savannah, Mrs. Fender was a longtime member of Faith Primitive Baptist Church. She was active in the Faith Fellowship Circle and sang in the Church Choir. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy F. Martin and her husband, Mike; her son, Ben Fender and his wife Kearney; and two grandsons, Robert and Joseph Fender. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert B. Fender, and her parents, Harry A. and Eunice DeLoach Foy. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday at the Fox & Weeks Hodgson Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday at Faith Primitive Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park. Remembrances may be made to Faith Primitive Baptist Church or the Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer and Research Pavilion.
