Frances is certainly a busy woman. I have asked her to come to Salt Spring to photo-document the Salt Spring Apple Festival on Sunday, Sept 28th. I love to see our Festival through someone elses eyes. But here is a beautiful PARADOX (and I love paradoxes). None of the 18 or so farm hosts that are the heart of the Apple Festival know anything about what happens at any other farm except their own. THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENS AT THEIR OWN FESTIVAL. THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY IT IS SO LOVED BY PARTICIPANTS. So I love to get all the host and other Apple Festival workers together for a Host Celebration after the festival and show them some of the 1000 or so photos we get from our roving photographers. That is how they really get to see what THEIR OWN APPLE FESTIVAL is all about. All photos are shown at saltspringapplefestival.org
