Francis Flying Blind By Robert Tuomi (WINDSOR, ON) – It seems that, despite what the operatives at the mayor’s office might tell you, not saying they will, and few will ask, not wanting to be served trespass notices, market studies can be very effective at providing parental guidance to a certain mayor known as Eddie Francis. However there is quite the trend developing that shows how no such guidance is the reason, apparently, that Francis continues to stumble and then fails flat on his face on everything he does. There is no evidence that any market study was done when Francis opened his wallet wide – okay, not his wallet but one owned by the city’s downtrodden taxpayers – and pulled out almost $30 million, all costs in, to build a nice shiny aircraft maintenance hangar at Windsor’s airport.
