Francis knows his days are numbered so he is playing with his power. He has committed many crimes and has been a part of the problem. He is hiding his true feelings in his antics. Francis seems acquainted with that danger — witness his warnings against a church that just “becomes an N.G.O.,” or against reducing Christianity to “taking a spiritual bath in the cosmos.” We Are Headed for the Cosmos!
