Isnt it funny ..just say the words...South Philly.....you may have left long ago...you may have tried to cultivate yourself into something else....you may act as if you had some other type of upbringing.....and you can put on airs .....and pretend that you are better....but say the words and something deep inside takes over , say the words with others and share a heritage that makes you proud...more proud than you could have ever imagined you would be.....say the words and feel the goose bumps rise and the chills come over you............and feel the Love ....Love for a place , for the people, for your place in the world.......and Thank God you had the blessings to be born and raised there, no matter what you have attained or where you now live....it binds us all together as one. All of us here on South Philly Born and Raised are Family blood related or not! Like our tagline says Its in our DNA!
