Frank Darabont & Frank Marshall Shoot Down Latest INDIANA JONES Rumor It behooves me to report that screenwriter/director Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption), producer Frank Marshall and a source for SlashFilm have all said that there is no truth behind the recent Indiana Jones rumor Latino Review recently posted. Follow nailbiter111: By nailbiter111 - 3/28/2014 A few days ago, Kellvin Chavez of Latino Review reported that the window for Harrison Ford returning for another Indiana Jones film was quickly closing and that producers were seriously entertaining the thought of replacing Ford with a younger actor as everyones favorite treasure-hunting archaeologist. They even stated that studios had Bradley Cooper (The Hangover) at the top of their wish list. Another bit of their rumor concerned screenwriter/director Frank Darabont (The Walking Dead). They said he had pitched an idea for the next film. Since that rumor was posted Frank Darabont and producer Frank Marshall have issued statements debunking it. Even a source for SlashFilm has poked his head out to deny the rumor. You can read all those denials below. Please keep in mind, Latino Review has a very good track record with their scoops and this wouldnt be the first time that one of their rumors has been debunked only to end up being right in the end. Right, J.J. Abrams? I Khan-not hear you? This is an internet rumor with not a shred of truth in it. I have not pitched an idea for a proposed Indiana Jones movie, nor has anybody approached me with such an idea. The inaccurate report on Latino Review was the first Id heard of it. - Frank Darabont (via aintitcool) We’ve contacted a high-placing source who tells /Film the below story is not true. - slashfilm Due to the ridiculous rumors that keep popping up, like agents pipe dreams, I will stop commenting on our projects until I have real news. — Frank Marshall (@LeDoctor) March 26, 2014 I can only confirm that Katy Perry will NOT be the new Indiana Jones. — Frank Marshall (@LeDoctor) March 26, 2014 Source: aintitcool DISCLAIMER: This article was submitted by a volunteer contributor who has agreed to our code of conduct.
