Frank Knight & Elizabeth Cady Stanton Elementary Schools will move to three report card marking periods for the 2014 – 2015 school year. The move to three report card marking periods will provide teachers with increased opportunity to fairly assess and report students’ learning progress. (This is a practice that has been in place in a number of elementary schools.) At the end of the reporting periods, teachers will be able to share information from Reading and Math assessments, as well as daily progress with skill development. At the conclusion of the first and second marking periods, parent-teacher conferences will be held so that teachers and parents can review progress, achievement results, student work samples, and collaborate on strategies to use at home.
